HistoryThe Consumable Media™ technology was invented and developed by L.C. Larson, Dr. J.B. Merry, Dr. M.P. Cunningham, and Dr. J.C. Owens from 2002-2006. The company retains all interests in the technology, as well as all patent assignments. Consumable Media LLC is a limited liability corporation formed in the State of Minnesota.
The technology behind Consumable Media first began when Mr. Larson was performing research & development in the interactive, self-service kiosk space. During his research, Larson proposed the concept of a simplified means of deploying the common DVD in the form of a limited play optical disc. With the work and persistence of a dedicated team of researchers, the group was able to accomplish the mission of a disposable DVD.
